A 6-track EP with pieces inspired by the Cohen-Mansfield Agitation Inventory - a system to class problematic behavior of people with dementia. I originally planned to do a whole concept album. But after I finnished 6 tracks I got stuck. So the pieces were just lying around unreleased for about four years. So it's time to unveil the unfinnished project and make way for new musical projects.

This mp3-compilation was first presented in 24 parts in form of a download-advent-calendar on www.ueberfall-home.de. Now it's available in one single zip-file (31 mp3-songs + artwork), while the pig in a poke principle is still maintained. So if you wanna know, what you will hear, you have to download and have a listen. Mainly it's punkrock, but also with some sprinkles of surf, psychedelic et cetera. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue - it's all there.

This now is the December 2009 remastered version! There's such improvement, that you should download again, if you already have the old version. After Tom had to leave Notdurft in 1985 the band went on with a new name and a new singer. The new singer was Dave Evans, the new name Mind Overboard. They recorded one LP in 1989 ("Farewell") which never was released until today, because the record label went bankrupt just after the test pressing. The second album "Recovering" was...

Eleven years ago in 1996 the fanzine Punkueberfall was started. Out of that grew the label Ueberfall-records and the Ueberfall-fanzine is alive again as well. This compilation celebrates the uneven anniversary of the initiation. CD1 presents guitar music and CD2 more or less electronic tracks. Unreleased recordings are provided by The Nymphomaniacs, Ackerbau & Viehzucht, Notdurft, Happy But Not Satisfied, XXY Goes Mutterschiff, Mars & Mighty (=Mars Galliculus & Mighty Janni),...

Notdurft was a punk-rock legend from Bielefeld/Germany. Their two albums from 1982 and 1996 both were not representing the real Notdurft as they should have. The first one got very soft and poppy and the second one got much harder but still very polished. So this anthology of demos and live-recordings from the archives of band members shows what kind of band Notdurft really was. So here is the rough energy that made them the most legendary punkrockers in this town. For more Notdurft and other...

"Life is great" compiles the greatest tracks by the German punkrock-band Piss Köpex, who were active from 1997 to 1998 (plus two reunion gigs in 2000). Their singer nowadays releases solo-recordings under the name Mars Galliculus, while the drummer is in the recent line up of the SHARP-band Stage Bottles.

The "Ein-Euro-Job"-sampler is all about unemployement, anti-social social reforms on the one side and the "happy" world of consumption on the other. Electronic acts from Germany, Austria, Canada and Spain give their musical statements to capitalism. Don't forget to get your rotten bread cover! For the cover-artwork prefer the pdf-version before the jpg! more info on www.ueberfall-home.de

This track is about the German social-system reform. While payed work in Germany gets less this reform intends to hit unemployed people harder than before in order to motivate them to get to work and to accept lower income. As there is not enough payed work, poverty grows. The reform is named after its developer Peter Hartz, a boss of Volkswagen. It is brought to us by the social party... People use the expression "Hartz IV" - the most dramatic part of the reform so far - like they...

In 1977 Rotators were the first band in East-Westphalia (Germany) to play punkrock. In 1997 they came back for a reunion which brought the new recorded "Best of 1977-1997". The single "Zombie Tango" is their only record recorded in their early days. It includes two tracks from 1980 when they had an organ in their line-up, which made them sound closer to the Stranglers than most other German punk bands of that time. Track 3 is a remix made in 2004 of the single's b-side. The...

"Ypsdschungelabenteuer" takes you to a trip through confusion of todays media. Layers of dark psychedelic ambient-sounds collide with modified beats and weird voice samples. www.marsgalliculus.com
